Pay attention to portion control too. Eating too much at one meal can cause you have an increase in calorie intake at the end of the day. Make smart food choices too so that you are not hungry. Fresh fruit of vegetables work very well for snacks. Avoid drinks that are high in sugar and caffeine. Replace them with water and green tea. They both have powerful antioxidants.

You will also have more energy when you eat right. This in turn means you can feel energized for exercises. While 30 minutes a day of exercise is standard for everyone, women taking birth control pills should strive for 45 minutes a day. Take part in exercises that you enjoy too so that you feel motivated to stick with it.

Adequate sleep at night will also help you to lose weight so do not cut yourself short when it comes to a good night of rest. Research shows that women that do not sleep enough are more likely to gain weight. Pay attention to the signals your body gives you because each woman can require different amounts of rest. Try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day too. This helps your body to stay on schedule and you will fall asleep faster at night.

There is no reason that taking birth control pills must result in a woman gaining weight.
