If you’re plagued with sinus infections from time to time or have found yourself having a hard time getting rid of your sinus infections you’ll want to do everything in your power to prevent them. If you currently have one you’ll want to use natural treatments at home. You can cure it yourself.

For the prevention of sinus infections, sinusitis or any kind of sinus problem here are a few things you can do. Look around your bedroom and bathroom. Look for any signs of mold, mildew or any type of growth. Look inside your toilet bowl under the rim and look under the tank – you may have to stand on your head. You may be shocked to find an overgrowth of black mold or mildew under there. You may have it around your shower or bathtub. You may have it around window sills. Wherever you find it – it must be removed!

Most sinus infections are caused by fungi – that is mold. These mold spores are airborne and travel around your bathroom, bedroom and living areas. You must use a mask and gloves to remove this mold and good ventilation. You don’t want to get any in your sinuses.

If you have plants in your bedroom you want to remove those. There can be hidden molds in indoor plants. If you use a humidifier in your bedroom there may be mold around the windows or other places.

You want to avoid dust and especially old dust. Stirring up piles of papers or clothing that have a lot of old dust on them can get in your sinuses and wreak havoc with them. Get rid of dust in your bedroom and dust any books and bookshelves often. Working around sawdust or in workshops can be a problem too.

You may be allergic to dust mite droppings. A thorough vacuuming of your bedroom and washing all your bedding in hot water may help remove them. Encasing pillows and mattresses in zippered cases may help prevent more problems.

Make sure you air your bedroom and bathroom out often and try to get as much fresh air into them as possible.

These are just a few things you can do to help prevent sinus infections. There is a lot you can do to cure yourself naturally if you’re caught up in an infection now. A sinus infection may take three weeks to get rid of without any treatment. With natural treatment you can shorten the course. Antibiotics don’t work for fungal infections and many doctors don’t prescribe them anymore. Know that you don’t have to suffer if you take the proper preventative measures and treat yourself naturally without drugs.
