There are five foods to avoid completely to get rid of gout; in fact you could call it a natural home remedy for gout. Gout is brought on by the build up of uric acid in your body. There are certain proteins that produce this acid when your body breaks them down. Unlike popular versions of this, you do not need to avoid all foods high in proteins.

Studies have shown that the proteins in dairy and plant proteins are different from meat proteins. Your body will break down meat proteins and produce uric acid in the body. The same will not happen when talking about plant and dairy proteins. Meat Proteins

Especially organ meats like kidney, liver, brain, and even tongue. Red meat proteins are worse than white meat, though you should consider alternate sources of proteins altogether if you suffer from gout. Also included in this would be fish proteins. Alcohol

Many alcohols use the same types of yeast as sweetbreads though many do not think about it. You should avoid drinks like beer, lager, ales, and even malt drinks to avoid this. To be safe I would suggest that you simply avoid alcohol all together because of the yeasts that are used or naturally produced when creating the drink.

Vegetables

More specifically I could narrow it down to beans and lentils that should be on the list of five foods to avoid to completely get rid of gout as a natural home remedy. These are not the only culprits though. Cauliflower, asparagus and spinach are also ones that should be steered clear of.
