The Okinawa diet mainly consists of seafood along with vegetables.

The vegetables in this diet mainly consist of green peppers, bean sprouts and sweet potatoes. This is because; these vegetables are the ones which have the highest concentration of vitamin A, E, C and even zinc. When the process of oxidation takes place in the body there are free radicals produces and these free radicals often increase the process of ageing. Thus in order to take care of your skin, you need to have a lot of anti oxidants.

This is followed by the seafood in the Okinawa skin care diet, which contains Omega3 fatty acids. This is like, a “good” cholesterol which your body needs. These prevent your skin from drying up and therefore will prevent wrinkles in addition to slowing down the process of ageing. Ageing is usually due to the lack of moisture in your skin. So this fatty acid will help to keep your skin glowing and will make it look younger.

So if you replace at least 40 per cent of the amount of red meat you consume with sea food, it will make you look and feel a lot healthier as well as younger. Now another major part of this diet is the calcium used. Therefore a large portion of this diet consists of tofu, yogurt and soy milk. Now as you can observe none of these are made up of animal milk, this is because animal milk is hard to digest so these are the better alternatives.

Now this method also includes the use of different skin care oils which are natural like jojoba oil, aloevera and so on. So this is the highly sought out Japanese skin care method which help you look young.
