Homeopathic Sleeping Remedies

Homeopathic sleeping remedies are prescribed based on the core issue of your sleeplessness, and not sleeplessness itself. Since there are many reasons for sleeplessness, there are many different remedies that are used. You should meet with a licensed homeopath or try to pinpoint your cause before taking one of the following remedies. Two tablets should be taken in a 6c dosage strength once every 15 minutes up to 3 doses.

Arnica – This remedy is used if you are having trouble sleeping due to muscle pain and aches. It can also help if you are suffering from jet lag.

Calcera phosphorica – This is appropriate if you can’t wake up in the morning or are waking up in the middle of the night. Restless sleepers can also benefit from this remedy.

Chamomilia – This is good to use if you are irritable or drink a lot of caffeine. It can also help you get rid of frightening dreams.

Coffea – This remedy is helpful if your mind is awake and you can’t seem to relax. It’s also good if you drink too much caffeine during the day.

Ignatia – This is appropriate if you are dealing with a lot of emotional stress that is preventing normal sleep patterns. It can also help with mood swings.

Kali phos – This is good for night terrors, irritability and muscle fatigue.

Lachesis – This remedy is used for sleep problems during menopause including night sweats.

Nux vomica – If you’re getting off of prescription sleep aids, this is a perfect solution. It also helps if you have quit using alcohol, nicotine or caffeine.

Sepia – This is appropriate if you are waking up un-refreshed and feel tired most of the day. It can help with headaches and dizziness.

Sulphur – This remedy helps if you are a light sleeper and are woken up by noises at night.
