In addition, water also promotes overall wellness and reduces the levels of uric acid in the body. You can also drink a lot of low fat milk to lessen uric acid levels. 2. Avoid Alcohol – If you are now experiencing symptoms of having a gout attack, you should avoid drinking liquor or alcoholic beverages. This is because liquor prevents the uric acid to leave the kidneys.
