Raw Superfoods For Better Health

The health-food movement used to be based on carrots, celery, wheatgrass, and some brown paper sacks filled with bulghur wheat.

Not anymore. Many companies have sprung up all over the internet, making available to everyone some of the greatest, most potent and healing “superfoods” from all corners of the globe–raw organic superfoods–foods grown with sustainable agricultural methods, and food presented in their raw, natural state, without heating above 118 degrees Fahrenheit–preserving vital nutrition, vitamins, and enzymes.

These include the raw cacao bean–also called the “raw chocolate nut”–the substance from which all chocolate is made.

“Cacao” is the original name for chocolate, which grows on a tree in the Amazon jungle. In the modern commercial chocolate industry, however, many of the vital medicinal properties of this amazing food are lost through high heat, stripping away of its high-quality oils, pressing, chemical extraction, and tainting with lead and cadmium. Raw organic cacao, however, is one of the most medicinal, healing, nutritious foods on the planet.

Goji berries are also hot products on the internet superfood scene these days. If you add one more ingredient to the above mentioned items–hemp seeds–you get the basics for one of the tastiest (and healthiest!) smoothies you can make.
