Some people ask this; can alkaline water cure disease?  Prevent disease? Maybe but it helps at the minimum. Why? We have to know that basically there are three main functions or benefits of ionized water described below.

First, alkaline water will balance the pH inside the body. Our body tends to have acidic condition with pH around 4 as a result of our food or beverages consumption (this is a FALLACY [see Vitamin Agent Disclaimer], the human body is often 7.35 which is too acidic – 7.4 is ideal; pH of 4 may exist in some intestinal environments but not humans, body-wide). Second, alkaline ionized water contains free radicals elements that have ability of anti-oxidant and anti-aging formula. These atoms and molecules will slow down the skin aging process. Third, Free radicals are also able to remove toxic materials, especially organic toxic substances.

The answer of above question is closely related to the third aspect. The free radicals within ionized water are powerful to get rid and remove especially organic toxic chemicals contained in our body. Free radicals will react with organic functional group and form a simpler structure of organic molecules thus make them to be friendlier and will not harm our system. On the other hand, toxins that are inorganic or in complex form may still persist in our system. Therefore, alkaline ionized water will optimally remove toxics that contain organic functional structures.

How about the role of water filter? Water filter is used to filter unwanted pollutants, or even microorganisms. Thus, its basic function is to clean the water to be safe for drinking purposes. Water filter is not built to produce healthy ionized water. However, the existence of water filter in your home water plan is necessary.
