Protein Shakes Supplements

vitamin-agent

Protein shakes are consumed by fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders on a regular basis as supplements. To grow bigger and stronger, exercise alone is not enough. After an intense workout, you need to feed your body with proteins to help repair and grow your muscles.

You can make your own protein shakes using processed protein, or from completely natural ingredients. Of course, it’s much more convenient to create a shake using protein powders. Just add milk, a banana, and 2 scoops of protein powder and you get a great tasty shake in minutes.

However, protein powder can come across as costly to some people. You can still make great tasting shakes without the powder. Replace the powder with other protein rich foods such as eggs or bean curd.

Note that there is a difference between the two. Whey protein powders contains BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) that is more easily absorbed by the body. There is no need to wait for the body to digest the food, and then distribute the amino acids to the rest of the body. This function is usually carried out by the liver.

For whey protein shakes, the protein is immediately carried into the blood stream because there is no need for the body to break down the proteins further. That is the key benefit of consuming whey protein shakes. Fitness enthusiasts find it more beneficial to consume such protein shakes because they can recover faster from their daily workouts. So if you are in a hurry to build some muscles quickly, consuming these high protein drinks may be just what you need.
